Mucho Gringo Navidad Hearablez

This, my 12th Christmas release over the past 9 seasons, happens to be the very first that I have entirely illustrated. While I have extensively drawn for non-holiday comps and poster art, for some reason I've always been satisfied with appropriated imagery for this project. This year, Santo was just too big of an inspiration to not make fully realized. I have considered repurposing/augmenting this concept into a poster for an El Vez (The Mexican Elvis) Merry Mex-Mas show that's forthcoming.

The audio selection this time has nothing to do with south-of-the-border (not even a 'Feliz Navidad' but there is a 'Donde Esta Santa Claus'), it's just the usual scrapbook of Christmas mild-to-mirthful mayhem that would be a rough listen for the straight vanilla crowd. Granted, there are lots of sweet sentiments but also a balance of some luridness (a subtle f-word too!). NPR has also become a more frequented source for spoken material. I have premiered a 'Holiday Advisory Questionable Taste' warning logo on the back.
