Sadly, this show was originally concieved to include the late Wesley Willis as headliner, but withdrew early on due to illness. Wesley was overtaken by leukemia the following August. On a lighter note- I had to generate a rough proposal for Wesley's manager to approve before we could proceed; apparently Wesley was highly sensitive to how he gets portrayed.

I only did manage to catch Wesley Willis once. Strangley, it was on Martin Luther King's birthday in 2002 at a teen center; I believe WW was the only black person in the mostly white, teenaged throng. Ah, if only the gentle giant could give us a headbutt right now...

'Scampi' drummed for the Ghoulies at this time...
