Kid wunderpromoter Grand Fanali nets Jonathan Richman for what could've been his first San Jose appearance in nearly a decade? What ensued was a delightful, gear-grinding evening with The Phenomenauts 'rocket roll' smack-dab in the middle. Tommy drummed for Jonathan actually sitting down at a borrowed kit this time (a first by my witness).

I took this opportunity to revamp a concept from 7 years prior where my methods were mostly analog and are the result of paste-up.

I find my older effort.. uh.. 'charming'. Using it as a framework for the Jonathan vehicle added to the fun factor and the 'attack of the evil santas' concept at last feels vindicated. Besides, I just love interacting events with nearby holiday seasons!
