An amazing show in the midst of The 'Coasters NorCal jaunt at a funky, mountain hotel not too far out of surf city (Santa Cruz). Pollo Del Mar supplied their incredible as usual, big-brother reverb support.
This graphic was one I had growing inside me for awhile, so it's absolute zen I was able to birth it so appropriately (the late Hokusai gets an assist credit for sure). I DID cringe while taking a few liberties with Mazinga's appearance though, since many a toy freak is very particular about their Shogun Warriors' accuracy (for the uninitiated, I won't divulge the details!).
For the first time, I signed and numbered the poster edition (this one had 50).
After the dispersal to participants, etc.- the run sold-out the very same night. Marvelous!
I very much want to tip my hat to head-Pollo and renaissance man extraordinaire, Ferenc Dobronyi for not only facilitating the entirety of the Surf Coasters visit, but also for his amazing Peter Maxesque poster for the entire tour!
